I am attracted by the beautiful body movement of dancers and its unique combination with urban environments. To me, the beauty of the dancers should not only be seen in the studio or on the stage. We eat, drink, sleep, and work in the city. The city is also the stage for our arts.

If the color doesn't stand out, let the subjects stand out. As a minimalist artist, I used a minimalist approach to guide my audience to focus on a certain part of my art. In some of these photos, I turned the background black and white, while keeping the main subject in color and in focus. This helps the audience not be distracted. In the photo of the dancer in the subway, I kept it in color because the colors add context to the composition; they’re not a distraction.
